At four o’clock this afternoon, Saturday, Baghdad time, our national team will play its friendly match against its South Korean counterpart at New York University Stadium in Abu Dhabi as part of its preparations for the Asian Nations Championship scheduled to start in Doha next Friday.
The correspondent of the (INA) stated, “Our national team completed its preparations for this match by participating in its last training unit yesterday, Friday, in its camp held in Abu Dhabi, led by Spanish coach Jesus Casas.”
He added, “The technical staff emphasized in the training session the implementation of some of the technical aspects that are supposed to be applied against the Korean Samson, and the national team coach, Jesús Casas, decided to give rest to all players tomorrow, Sunday, before the Mesopotamia Lions resume their training again, starting on Monday, until the date… They will leave for Doha on the 11th of this month to participate in the 2023 Asian Cup.”
It is noteworthy that our national team is playing in Group Four alongside the teams of Indonesia, Japan, and Vietnam, and its matches will be on days (15, 19, and 24) of this month.
