The United States, South Korea and Japan agreed to take new measures against North Korea in the field of cybersecurity.
Media reported: “White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan was quoted during his visit to Seoul as saying: “The authorities of the United States, South Korea and Japan have reached an agreement to take new measures to confront North Korea in cyberspace, and to respond to Pyongyang’s continued launches of ballistic missiles.” .
He added: “We also launched new tripartite initiatives to confront Pyongyang’s threats, starting from cybercrime and money laundering in cryptocurrencies, all the way to its launch, its reckless rush into space, and its launching of ballistic missiles.”
US National Security Council spokeswoman Adrian Watson said earlier that Sullivan is holding consultations in Seoul, with Cho Tae-yong, head of the National Security Office of the South Korean presidential administration, and Takeo Akiba, secretary of the Japanese National Security Council.
