The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that it will follow up with the embassies of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait to deliver the bodies of their citizens who died in the desert of Salah al-Din Governorate.

A statement from the ministry, received by the (INA), stated, “The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its sincere condolences and sincere sympathy to the governments and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait, on the death of the Saudi citizen Anwar Al-Dhufairi and the Kuwaiti citizen Faisal Al-Mutairi, who died in the desert of Salah al-Din Governorate after… An old explosive device left by ISIS terrorists exploded on the vehicle they were riding in, causing it to burn.”
He added: “At a time when we feel the magnitude of this sadness, we affirm our solidarity with their family, and we ask God to include them with His forgiveness and pardon, and to inspire their family patience, and to bestow upon them a great reward,” pointing out that “the Ministry confirms that it will follow up with the embassies of the two countries in Baghdad in order to transfer “And deliver the two bodies to their families as quickly as possible.”
