Revealing a problem with American bombers, i.e. a confrontation with China »

The National Interest revealed that the US Air Force may suffer from a shortage of advanced B-21 Raider bombers in the event of a confrontation with China.

The magazine indicated that the US Air Force may receive about 20 fighters of this type by 2030.
She added: “Although the Air Force’s bomber fleet today may be the smallest in the history of Air Force service, if the pace of acquisition of B-21 bombers remains the same, this may not be enough to make a difference in a possible future war with China.”
The magazine article stressed that the US Air Force needs at least 300 bombers to participate in potential conflicts. Note that the US strategic bomber fleet currently includes 141 aircraft.
For its part, Chinese media had previously indicated that the real purpose of the B-21 bombers was to provoke Beijing into wasting resources when taking “countermeasures.”
This December, Newsweek magazine wrote that the United States used artificial intelligence system simulators when conducting tests on the advanced B-21 Raider bombers.
Meanwhile, US Air Force spokeswoman Anne Stefanik announced the start of flight testing of the B-21 aircraft last November, indicating that during these tests, the stability of the aircraft and the flight range it is capable of will be verified.
Last July, the specialized American magazine “Air & Space Forces” reported that Washington intends to start using the sixth generation “B-21” bombers as the primary attack aircraft in 2025.
According to a report by the magazine, published at the time, the sixth-generation B-21 Raider aircraft, which rely on “Stealth” technology to avoid detection, will be “the primary platform for air attack on highly protected targets.”
