This Thursday evening, the Iraqi football team participated in its first training unit in the Qatari capital, Doha, which was hosted by the training centers in Al Gharafa Stadium, in preparation for participation in the Asian Cup finals, the 18th edition of which begins tomorrow, Friday, with the Qatari national team facing off against its Lebanese counterpart at Lusail Stadium. All the players participated in the training, except for Saad Nateq, who the medical staff preferred to train (lightly) and alone in order to remove fatigue, with the hope that he would resume training with the group in the next two days.
The start of the training was preceded by a talk by the national team coach, Jesus Casas, with the players, urging everyone to focus more from now on, since the countdown has begun and we are actually here in Doha in the Asian Cup and not in the atmosphere of a training camp for the tournament.
