The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced today, Thursday, that the number of martyrs has risen to more than 17,000 since the start of the Zionist aggression.
The Ministry stated, “The number of martyrs has risen to 17,177 and those injured to 46,000 since the start of the aggression on the Gaza Strip.”
Today, Thursday, the official government spokesman, Bassem Al-Awadi, confirmed Iraq’s support for the position of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, regarding the blatant violations occurring in Gaza.
Al-Awadi said, in a statement received by the (INA): “The Iraqi government expresses its support for the position of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, regarding the blatant violations occurring in Gaza, and his activation of Article 99 of the United Nations Charter, which grants the Secretary-General Power (to draw the attention of the Security Council to any matter that it deems may threaten the maintenance of international peace and security).”
He added, “The government praised what Guterres indicated that what has been happening in Gaza for several weeks represents a threat to international peace and security.”
