Former US President Donald Trump won the Republican Party primary elections in the state of Iowa, according to what US media estimates showed yesterday evening, Monday.

CNN and CBS expected that former President Trump would defeat his main rivals in this state in the American Midwest: former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

President Trump leads by a wide margin over other potential GOP candidates in terms of voter support, according to a CBS News survey.

According to the survey, 69% of Republicans intend to vote for Trump in the primaries.

Trump called on his citizens to unite after winning the first Republican Party primary election in Iowa, a result that consolidated his position at the forefront of the Republican race for the White House elections scheduled for November.
