The forces responded with ‘means to disperse rioters’ and live bullets when necessary.” Later, sirens sounded in Israeli towns and residential communities around the Gaza Strip to warn of rocket launches from the Strip. The Israeli army said that the Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted several of the approximately 12 missiles. Residents of the Strip later reported that Israel carried out more air strikes.
