Four men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 20-year-old man was shot in Sheffield, England, on Christmas Day.

The incident occurred in the Darnall area of Sheffield, according to South Yorkshire Police. Emergency services were called to Wilfred Drive at 11:27 p.m. with reports that a man had been shot in the chest.
The victim remains in critical, life-threatening condition in hospital. Four men – aged 20, 22, 28, and 29 – were quickly arrested in connection with the shooting and remain in custody.
Chief Inspector Andy Knowles stated that gun crime poses a significant threat to the safety and well-being of the community. “It will not be tolerated under any circumstances,” Knowles said. “We are committed to taking firm, decisive action against anyone who chooses to engage in violence or carry illegal firearms, but we are stronger with your help – our community’s support.”
Police are urging anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward. Officers remain in the area to address any questions or concerns from the public.
