Further controversy surrounds Andrew Mountbatten Windsor following the release of three million pages of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. A photograph showing the 65-year-old, formerly known as Prince Andrew, kneeling over an unidentified woman in Epstein’s New York City mansion has surfaced.
Photo Confirmed as Taken in Epstein’s Mansion
The photograph, released on January 30, depicts Mountbatten Windsor leaning over a fully clothed woman whose face has been redacted. Sky News’ data and forensic team confirmed the image was taken inside Epstein’s New York mansion by analyzing distinctive white wall panelling, cross-referencing it with a photograph of Epstein and Hollywood director Woody Allen.
According to Sky News royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills, the team identified the location by noting the “quite distinctive” design of a door that matches other photographs of the property. Mills stated there is “no suggestion” of wrongdoing, and the photograph is undated, making the exact time it was taken difficult to determine.
The image is part of a larger picture illustrating the extent of Mountbatten Windsor’s contact with Epstein, Mills noted. Despite Mountbatten Windsor’s claim that he met with Epstein in New York to end their relationship, emails indicate contact continued past December 2010, two years after Epstein’s conviction for procuring a child for prostitution and soliciting a prostitute.
Mountbatten Windsor has consistently denied any accusations of wrongdoing related to his friendship with Epstein. The release of the files and the confirmed location of the photograph have been described as “an incredibly difficult weekend” for Mountbatten Windsor and the Royal Family, according to Mills.
The Sky News correspondent also noted the revelations provide further insight into the relationship between Epstein and Mountbatten Windsor, as well as his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.
