A couple described as “much loved” died following a collision in Tramore, Waterford on Saturday. Brian and Grace Frisby, both in their 40s, were pronounced dead at the scene after a crash involving a car and a van.
Brian and Grace Frisby Remembered
The couple, occupants of the car, tragically lost their lives at around midday. The occupants of the van, a man (50s) and a juvenile male, were taken to University Hospital Waterford for treatment of injuries believed to be non life-threatening.
Brian and Grace will lay in repose at George Mullins Funerals, The Funeral Home, Kilcullen Road, Naas, Co. Kildare on Thursday from 5pm to 7pm with vigil prayers and rosary at 6:45pm. Requiem mass will take place in the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas on Friday at 10am followed by burial in the St. Corban’s Cemetery, Naas.
Their death notice on RIP.ie reads: “Brian is predeceased by his sister Maria and grandparents. Grace is predeceased by her nephew Ciarán and grandparents. Adored and loved by their sons Theo and Fionn. Cherished by their heartbroken parents Seanie and Mary Elliott and Bernard and Mary Frisby.”
“Brian’s brothers Richard and Michael, sister Susan, brother-in-law Derek and John, sisters-in-law Debbie and Lorna, nephews and nieces Aoife, Emily, Niamh, Jack, Tadhg, Sean, Michael, Pauric, Amelie, Leila, Elle and Mila and grand-niece Annie. Grace’s brother Stephen, sisters Denise and Laura, brother-in-law Gerry, sister-in-law Síle, nieces Sarah, Rebecca, Alannah, Romy, Jasmine and Sasha and grand-niece Averie, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.”
Naas GAA chairperson Damien McGrath led tributes, sharing the club’s deep sadness. He said the entire community at Naas GAA stands with the couple’s sons. “Our thoughts and heartfelt sympathies are with their two sons, Fionn and Theo, their extended families, friends, and all who are grieving at this devastating time,” he said. “This is an unimaginable loss for those closest to them, and the entire Naas GAA community stands with them in their sorrow. Brian was an active coach within our club, giving generously of his time, energy, and passion to support and develop our young players.”
One mourner shared: “To all the Frisby and Elliott families to Theo and Fionn and all who loved Grace and Brian may the special memories you hold in your hearts and the love you all cherished somehow get ye through this tragic sad time of your lives. Rest in eternal peace Grace and Brian and send strength to those that need it most.”
Another added: “Heartfelt condolences to Theo, Fionn, and the Frisby and Elliott families on the tragic loss of Grace and Brian. Many a story has been shared this week about a beautiful couple devoted to their wonderful sons, a wonderful mentor, and school colleague. May Brian and Grace rest in peace.”
