‘Absolutely scandalous’ – judge decries attempt by man and up to 30 supporters to ‘invade’ High Court office

A man has been accused of attempting to intimidate and harass court officials, solicitors, and members of the judiciary while offering legal advice despite not being qualified to do so, according to a senior judge.

Patrick McGreal’s Actions

Patrick McGreal (45) appears to be “engaged in a wholly unjustified crusade against the legal system and its personnel” or is seeking attention for his political views, High Court judge Mr Justice Brian Cregan said.

McGreal has brought more than 20 High Court actions since 2023, and has previously attempted the citizen’s arrest of a judge and a solicitor.
