New PlayStation Plus Additions: Staggered Release Schedule Announced
Sony has announced the latest lineup of titles joining the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for Extra and Premium subscribers. In a departure from the traditional model where new additions arrive simultaneously, Sony is currently exploring new delivery methods, resulting in a staggered release schedule for the July lineup across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan. While the full catalog will be available to all other regions on July 21, subscribers in the US, UK, and Japan will see titles dropping throughout the month on varying dates.
July Game Catalog Lineup
The updated library features a mix of action-adventure games, RPGs, and simulators. The following titles are slated for inclusion in the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers: * Rise of the Ronin (PS5): Available now in the US, UK, and Japan; arrives July 21 in all other regions. * Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (PS5): Available globally on July 21. * Firefighting Simulator: Ignite (PS5): Available globally on July 21. * Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind (PS4, PS5): Available July 28 in the US, UK, and Japan; arrives July 21 in all other regions. * Dying Light (PS4): Available July 28 in the US, UK, and Japan. * Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (PS5): Available July 28 in the US, UK, and Japan. * Snow Bros. Wonderland (PS5): Available July 28 in the US, UK, and Japan. Additionally, two titles are joining the PlayStation Plus Premium classic library: *Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy* (PS4, PS5) and *Indigo Prophecy* (PS4, PS5). These classic additions are scheduled for a global release on July 21.

Context for New Additions
The current additions follow the earlier announcement of July’s Essential tier games, which include *Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3*, *For the King 2*, and *CrossCode*. *Rise of the Ronin*, developed by Team Ninja, is a combat-focused open-world action RPG set in 19th-century Japan. The game invites players to navigate the political unrest and disease of the 1863 Tokugawa Shogunate. According to data from the aggregate website ‘How Long to Beat,’ the title can take between 50 and 70 hours to complete. *Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora* offers a first-person action-adventure experience set in the Western Frontier of Pandora. Players take on the role of a Na’vi who, after being abducted and trained by the RDA corporation, must reconnect with their heritage to protect their birthplace. *Firefighting Simulator: Ignite* utilizes Unreal Engine 5 to provide a cooperative multiplayer firefighting experience, allowing players to work with friends or an NPC crew to manage real-time fire, smoke, and heat simulations.

Subscription Tiers and Service Structure
PlayStation Plus remains divided into three distinct tiers, each offering different levels of access to the service’s library: * Essential: Provides access to a select number of monthly games and online features for £7.99 per month. * Extra: Includes the Game Catalog, providing access to a library of hundreds of titles, including blockbusters and indie games, for £11.99 per month. * Premium: Offers the full benefits of the Extra tier, plus access to classic titles and game trials, for £14.99 per month. As Sony continues to explore new ways to deliver Game Catalog titles, the company has not provided specific windows for how long these new additions will remain available within the service.
