Medical Status and Incident Details

The victim, who was struck by lightning while carrying an umbrella during a morning storm, was initially resuscitated at the scene by a bystander. The medical team is focusing on stabilizing her condition after the victim was admitted following a short period of resuscitation. Protić noted the difficulties in assessing the long-term impact of the strike.

Storm Damage Across the Northern Adriatic

The severe weather, characterized by high winds, hail on the island of Cres, and water spouts, caused significant damage to tourist infrastructure on the islands of Lošinj and Unije. In the Rapoče camp on Lošinj, former handball representative Gorazd Škof described the intense conditions as a moment of horror when a tree fell onto the trailer where he and his wife were sheltering.
