According to official records, the ceremony served as the formal venue for the ambassador to deliver his credentials to President Tharman Shanmugaratnam.

During the exchange, the ambassador relayed formal greetings from the UAE leadership, including President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. These messages expressed the leadership’s wishes for the continued prosperity, progress, and development of the Singaporean people.
