Vivo Launches X300 E in China With 7,200mAh Battery and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5

Expanding its camera-focused flagship lineup, Vivo has introduced a new contender that balances extreme battery endurance with top-tier silicon. The smartphone joins an existing Vivo X300 lineup which already includes the Vivo X300, Vivo X300 Pro, Vivo X300s and Vivo X300 Ultra, yet it carves out a distinct identity through its sheer power cell capacity. According to a listing on China Telecom’s website, the device was officially unveiled in China with pre-orders opening immediately ahead of its scheduled retail rollout. The X300 E goes on sale July 31 at 09:00, while pricing is yet to be announced.

Design and Display Specifications of the Vivo X300 E

Unlike the standard Vivo X300 and the Vivo X300 Pro, which feature a circular camera housing, the new Vivo X300 E has a square rear camera module. The chassis pairs an aluminum frame with a glass back. The phone comes in black, white, and orange finishes. Dimensions and weight vary slightly by color choice: the black and orange options measure 7.79mm thick and weigh 199.5 grams. Meanwhile, the white option is 7.99mm thick and weighs 203 grams.

According to a listing on China Telecom’s website, the X300 E will come with a 6.59″ display, OriginOS 6, and up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. Biometric security is handled by an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor embedded beneath the display, matching premium expectations for the tier.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Performance and Largest Battery

Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, a high-end Qualcomm chipset built on a 3nm process and paired with an Adreno 829 GPU. Configuration options include 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The standout hardware feature is its energy storage. Fueling the entire package will be a 7,200 mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging, though it omits wireless charging capabilities.

Zeiss-Tuned Optics and Camera Hardware

Imaging relies on a partnership with ZEISS for the imaging on the X300 E; however, it’s unclear if all the cameras will benefit from that collaboration and use ZEISS technology, as vivo has only confirmed it for the telephoto unit so far. The smartphone will feature a triple camera setup on the rear, including a periscope telephoto unit. On the rear, the triple-lens array features a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary sensor equipped with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, and a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens also featuring optical image stabilization. The vivo X300 E will feature a 50MP selfie camera, while the device houses a front camera capable of recording 4K video.
