No More Room in Hell 2 Launches August 11 on PC and Consoles

Torn Banner Studios has announced that the cooperative horror first-person shooter No More Room in Hell 2 will exit Early Access and officially release Version 1.0 on August 11, 2026. The title will be available on PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The commercial release, priced at $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99, marks the console debut for the franchise. Green Man Gaming will serve as the publisher for the console versions, ensuring feature parity so that PlayStation and Xbox players experience the same achievements, survival mechanics, and gameplay systems as those on PC. To further unify the player base, the game will feature full cross-play functionality across all platforms.

New Game Modes and Map Expansions

Version 1.0 introduces several significant additions to the gameplay loop. A new Solo Mode allows players to master map layouts at their own pace without the threat of permadeath. Conversely, the permanent addition of Survival Mode challenges squads to defend strategic speaker towers from undead hordes to facilitate civilian evacuations. This mode was previously previewed during a Free Weekend event.

The update also expands the available environments with four new maps: Flooded (Survival), NOTLD (Survival), Lighthouse (Survival), and Bunker (Objective). Additionally, some reports indicate the inclusion of a sixth map, Raven Rock, and the addition of weekly missions.

Quality-of-Life Improvements and Difficulty

The transition to 1.0 follows two years of refinement since the game first launched in Early Access on October 22, 2024. According to the developer, the release is backed by more than 8,000 community-driven performance optimizations and bug fixes. New quality-of-life features include:

Developer Vision and Launch Offers

Steve Piggott, CEO and Creative Director at Torn Banner Studios, described reaching 1.0 as a monumental milestone, noting that the studio worked with the community to expand the title into a high-stakes co-op horror experience. Chris Jones, EVP of Publishing at Green Man Gaming, stated that the launch aims to serve console players who have been largely underserved in the tactical horror space.
