/ The management of Al-Zawraa Sports Club announced, on Monday, the establishment of a training camp for its football team in Basra, starting at the end of this month, in preparation for meeting the police in the strongest Iraqi derby, which will be held in the thirteenth round of the Iraq Stars League.
Member of the administration and team supervisor, Abdul Karim Abdul Razzaq, told Agency, “The team will hold a training camp in Basra Governorate starting on the 31st of this month and continuing for a week in preparation for meeting the police team in the 13th round, which begins after the end of our national team’s mission in the Asian Championship.” .
He added, “The administration agreed with the port and Basra Oil administrations to play two friendly matches during the team’s camp in Basra,” noting that “Al-Zawraa will face the Al-Mina team in the first friendly match on the 2nd of next February, and in the second friendly match on the 6th of February, the Basra Oil Club team.”
It is noteworthy that Al-Zawraa Club occupies third place in the Iraq Stars League team standings after the end of Round 12, with 23 points.
