Amazon Games to Release Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles on Luna

The cooperative investigation game allows up to four players to use their smartphones as controllers to solve crimes in Gotham City alongside characters from the animated series.

Cooperative Gameplay and Mobile Integration

Launching in tandem with the second season of the animated series Batman: Caped Crusader on Prime Video, the new title is designed as a social party game.

A key feature of the experience is its accessibility. Players do not need traditional gaming consoles or specialized controllers to participate; instead, the game utilizes the Amazon Luna GameNight catalog, which allows users to connect their own smartphones to function as game pads. Because the title operates entirely through cloud streaming, no software downloads are required to begin playing on a television or computer.

Narrative Missions and Gotham’s Rogues Gallery

The game’s narrative structure centers on 11 distinct missions that require players to engage in criminal investigations. As the team explores a noir-inspired Gotham City, they must interview suspects and analyze evidence to progress.

Players will work in close coordination with Batman and Detective Montoya to track down several iconic villains.

  • Joker
  • Scarecrow
  • Dollmaker
  • Babyface

The production features the original voice cast from the series, with Hamish Linklater providing the voice of Batman and Michelle C. Bonilla portraying Detective Montoya.

Service Availability and Regional Rollout

Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles represents a strategic move by Amazon to further integrate its Luna cloud gaming platform with the Prime Video ecosystem. The game will be available at no additional cost to Amazon Prime subscribers and Amazon Luna members in several countries, including Portugal. However, sources confirm that Brazil is not included in the list of countries receiving the game during this initial launch phase.

While the game serves as an exclusive title for the Amazon services, it also arrives during a period of adjustment for the platform. As noted in coverage of the announcement, Amazon Luna has recently ended the sale of individual games and restricted access to external storefronts, signaling a shift toward its current subscription-based model.
