Pakistan’s military has conducted retaliatory strikes against targets in Afghanistan, targeting facilities used by the Afghan Taliban and militants. The actions follow recent attacks originating from across the border, according to Pakistani officials and security sources.

Pakistan Conducts Strikes in Afghanistan

The Pakistani military stated it conducted strikes targeting militant hideouts in Afghanistan, destroying infrastructure, storage facilities, and a tunnel in Kandahar. Security forces reported destroying technical infrastructure, a storage facility, and a tunnel during the strikes, according to Tarar.

Armed forces continue retaliatory actions against the Afghan Taliban, described as Fitna al-Khwarij, according to Radio Pakistan. The strikes along the Bajaur border specifically targeted and destroyed Afghan Taliban posts, security sources confirmed.

Al Jazeera reported that Pakistan conveyed it had conducted new strikes at Afghanistan’s military facilities. The Guardian noted the ongoing conflict prompted Pakistan to target militant hideouts within Afghanistan.
