Two members of the Mongrel Mob gang have been arrested after police raids across Canterbury uncovered stolen vehicles, drugs, firearms, and cash.
Canterbury Police Raids Target Mongrel Mob
Detective Senior Sergeant Damon Wells said police executed search warrants over the past two weeks at properties linked to Mongrel Mob members in Christchurch and North Canterbury.
During the searches, police seized several thousand dollars worth of methamphetamine, along with multiple firearms and ammunition. A “chop shop” was also discovered, where several stolen vehicles were recovered. A chop shop is a workshop used to dismantle stolen vehicles for parts or reassemble them without identification.
Five additional vehicles were seized due to unpaid fines.

The two arrested individuals, aged 34 and 29, are scheduled to appear in the Christchurch District Court in the coming weeks. They face charges related to driving offenses, possession of methamphetamine for supply, possession of cannabis, and unlawful possession of ammunition.
