Assault charge laid after cops say snowblower aimed at victim

A 57-year-old man is facing an assault charge after allegedly using a snowblower to direct snow at another person in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Police were alerted to the incident Sunday morning, which reportedly occurred Saturday afternoon in the 100 block of Second Line West.

According to police, the accused engaged in an argument with the victim, who is known to them, before intentionally directing snow from the snowblower.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Christopher Wright, 57, is scheduled to appear in court in February to address the assault charge. The allegations have not been proven in court, and Wright is considered innocent until proven guilty.
