Baghdad hosts the Arab Freestyle and Romanian Wrestling Championship

/ The head of the Iraqi Wrestling Federation, Shaalan Abdel Kazem, announced on Thursday that Baghdad will host the Arab Freestyle and Romanian Wrestling Championships.

Abdul Kazem told Agency, “The Army Club Hall in the capital, Baghdad, will host the Arab championship competitions, which will witness wide competition between wrestlers from countries.”

He added, “The Federation and the Army Club management have arranged the logistical and technical matters for holding the Arab Freestyle and Romanian Wrestling Championship competitions scheduled to start on December 6th, which will be hosted by the Army Sports Club Hall in the capital, Baghdad.”

Abdul Kazem explained, “The President of the Army Club, Captain Hassan Farhan, instructed all club cadres to be mobilized in preparation for hosting the tournament scheduled for the Army Club Hall, in order to make it a success and to prove that Iraq is capable of hosting all tournaments and various games.”

He pointed out that “The Army Club is keen to make use of all its sports facilities to host international and continental events, especially after the great development witnessed by the club’s infrastructure, such as the gymnasium, swimming pool and sports halls.”
