The Parent Trap star has listed his 4,100-square-foot manse at 2536 Pesquera Drive in Brentwood Hills for $5.2 million, Realtor.com reported. The actor put the five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom home on the market nearly a decade after buying it for $3.9 million and completing an extensive renovation of the property. The listing comes just weeks after Quaid publicly criticized California’s taxes, government services and wildfire response, saying those frustrations helped drive his move to Nashville.

"It used to be such a great town and the ’90s was nice. And then it’s been kind of going downhill and I feel like people pay these taxes for no services is what it gets down to," the Texas native told Fox News last month. "I’m just one of thousands who have left." Quaid and his wife, Laura Savoie, have primarily lived in Nashville since 2020 but have held onto the Los Angeles property and traveled between the two states. Now, the listing appears to sever his last major residential tie to California. Last year’s Palisades fire, which forced Quaid to evacuate his Brentwood home, appears to have been the last straw for him. He participated in the "They Let Us Burn" protests and called on Mayor Karen Bass to retire in the wake of the fires, and went on to support former reality TV star Spencer Pratt in his failed Los Angeles mayoral primary election bid. Quaid’s home is being marketed by David Offer of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices as a turnkey retreat at the end of a cul-de-sac in Brentwood Hills.

Quaid will be the latest Hollywood star to flee California for greener pastures in recent years. Mark Wahlberg, Matthew McConaughey, Chris Evans, Glenn Powell and Rachel McAdams have relocated outside the Golden State as concerns over taxes, insurance costs and wildfire risk compel wealthier homeowners to decide whether to stay or go.

The Hidden Hills and Calabasas micro-market has long seen high-end turnover among television personalities and designers. Reality television personality, self-proclaimed lord and aspiring real estate mogul Scott Disick is really taking his new show, Flip It Like Disick, to heart. The series is all about Disick buying and selling über luxury homes, and now he’s offering up his own 1.35-acre Hidden Hills residence. Disick is listing the palatial 8,110-square-foot house for a hefty $13 million. That would be quite the profit from the $5.96 million he paid for the gated abode back in January 2016, though he’s apparently completed a major renovation and remodel. In a less than shocking turn of events, it’s located in the Kardashian-filled Calabasas neighborhood.

This isn’t the first time Disick has tried to part with the property—he originally tried to flip the home just six months after buying it; he listed it for $8.8 million, but even lowering the price tag by around $1 million didn’t find an interested party. He then tested out the rental market, asking $60,000 a month for the sprawling residence. But perhaps now that he’s back from his many European adventures with his girlfriend Sofia Richie, celebrating Kylie Jenner’s never-ending birthday, it’s back to business.
