The Vice President of the Federation, Ali Abdel Zahra, told Agency, that the Federation, with the support of the Iraqi Olympic Committee, will hold a training camp in Algeria for four boxers for a full month and they will be selected before the start of the camp based on the preparation rounds, which will be based on the results of the comparison and survival of the most suitable according to the evaluation of the team’s coach. Abdul Zahra added that the Iraqi national team will then participate in the Bosnia International Championship at the beginning of January 2024, and the Iraqi national team will then remain in a training camp there until the end of the month.
According to the Vice President of the Boxing Federation, after the Bosnia camp, the team will head to Italy to participate in the World Championships to be held there in February of next year, which is the last stop, and its results are considered qualifications for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
