China-ASEAN Innovation Collaboration

Experts and business leaders convened at the ASEAN Innovation Cooperation and Development Forum, part of the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum, to discuss ways to enhance cross-border innovation collaboration. The forum was organized in alignment with the Plan of Action to Implement the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (2026-2030).

Several agreements were announced during the event. The International Cooperation Center of China’s National Development and Reform Commission signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Zhongguancun Development Group. This agreement will support enterprises in attracting overseas resources, expanding internationally, and integrating industrial and innovation chains.

Yang Renquan, general manager of Zhongguancun Development Group, stated the company will utilize its resources and networks to assist Chinese technology firms in entering ASEAN markets and connecting with local resources, supporting China’s broader opening-up initiatives.

The ZGC AI Business International Service Hub (ASEAN) was unveiled, with CGS International Securities designated as the investment banking services institution. Additionally, the “UOB Intellichain: The ASEAN Express” initiative was launched to provide comprehensive financial services for Zhongguancun enterprises expanding into ASEAN.

Participants believe these initiatives will contribute to regional growth by converting policy consensus into practical results and providing fresh momentum.
