Christina (Chris) Keating, formerly of Athenry Road, Tuam, Co. Galway, passed away peacefully at the Mayo Hospice, Castlebar, on March 16, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Chris was predeceased by her parents James and Christina Keating (Tuam), brothers Jimmie and Hughie, sister Elizabeth, and infant babies Hazel and Raymond.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond (Ray), and her children, Michelle, Audrey, and Lorraine. She is also remembered by her heartbroken family, including brothers John, Paul, Jarlath, Martin, and Tony; sisters Patricia, Catherine, and Geraldine; sons-in-law Paul and David; Michelle’s partner Cali; and adored grandchildren Lee, Zoe, Joshua, Adam, Max, and Sam, as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces.
Reposing will be held at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Ballina, on Friday evening, March 20th, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
The funeral will arrive at St. Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina, on Saturday morning, March 21st, for Requiem Mass at 11:30 AM, followed by cremation at McGowan’s Crematorium and Funeral Home, Collooney, Co. Sligo (Eircode F91 AKW5).
The family requests that flowers be omitted. Donations, if desired, can be made to Mayo Roscommon Hospice c/o McGowan’s Funeral Home, Ballina.
The family has requested privacy at their home.
