The MTRCB initiated a compliance seminar for Coco Martin’s Sigabo after receiving complaints about the program, which premiered on June 22, 2026. The seminar was held at the MTRCB office in Quezon City. CCM Film Productions, which was established by Coco Martin, attended the session to address concerns regarding the portrayal of violence in the teleserye. MTRCB Chair Lala Sotto emphasized that the agency intends to support the production while maintaining industry standards for shows accessible to younger viewers, provided there is parental guidance. I just want to make it clear that the reason why we are having this compliance seminar today is because we want to help you, we want to help drive the production. We want you to understand, Sotto stated during her opening remarks.

Despite the regulatory review, the series continues to ramp up its action sequences. Lead star Coco Martin, recognized as the Hari ng Aksyon sa Ating Henerasyon, expressed gratitude for the support the series has received. As the story gains momentum, the show raises the stakes with the arrival of acclaimed actors JM De Guzman and Chanda Romero. The narrative currently follows Gabo, played by Coco Martin, as he embarks on his first-ever mission as a secret agent. In a recent sequence, Gabo and his team executed a mission involving a missing motorcycle. After team members accompanied a character named Tekla to an “office” to supposedly process release papers, Gabo quietly rushed to the motorcycle, started its engine, and rode it away.

ABS-CBN Studios continues to give viewers exciting shows as Coco Martin’s Sigabo and Someone, Someday air back-to-back on weeknights beginning Monday, July 27, 2026. Starting at 8 p.m., Coco Martin’s Sigabo features action-packed encounters and light-hearted moments between Coco Martin and Julia Montes, who plays the character Sam, as they reach a pivotal turning point during an undercover mission. The primetime block continues at 8:45 p.m. with the debut of Someone, Someday, featuring Kathryn Bernardo, James Reid, and Maja Salvador. Meanwhile, the network is concluding the finale weeks of “Blood vs Duty” and The Alibi: Ang Buong Katotohanan.

Viewers can watch Coco Martin’s Sigabo and Someone, Someday on ALLTV2, TV5, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube and Facebook, iWant, and TFC. Additionally, Someone, Someday will be available 72 hours in advance on Netflix starting July 24 and 48 hours in advance on iWant starting July 25.
