Denis (Denny) O’Shea of Waterford, formerly of Hugginstown, Co. Kilkenny, has passed away on March 20th, 2026. O’Shea was a retired employee of CIE and Rapid Cabs and is remembered by a large family and community.
Obituary
Denis O’Shea is predeceased by his parents, Stasia and Billy, and his brother, Jim.
He is sadly missed by his loving wife, Patricia; sons, Feg and Liam; daughters, Carmel, Geraldine, Sinead and Denise; daughters-in-law, Janice and Amy; sons-in-law, Jer, Mark and Mick; grandchildren, Lauryn, Ava, Ryan, Sean, Megan, Liam, Jake, Cian, Dylan, Jack, Conor and step granddaughter Jade; brother, Johnny; sister, Josie; brothers-in-law, Danny and Joe; sister-in-law, Kathleen; and numerous nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Waterford on Monday, March 23rd, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, with vigil prayers and rosary at 8:00pm.
Requiem Mass will take place on arrival in St. Saviour’s Church, Ballybeg on Tuesday, March 24th, at 10:00am, followed by burial in Kilbarry Cemetery.

Family flowers only are requested. Donations, if desired, can be made to South East Palliative Care.
