Mary (Maudie) Dooley, formerly of Ashbury, Roscrea, Co Tipperary, passed away suddenly but peacefully at her home in Borris in Ossory, Co Laois, on April 24, 2026.
Mrs. Dooley (née Murphy) is survived by her children, Joe and Monica, daughter-in-law Claire (Wallace), and son-in-law Mark (Williams). She is also remembered by her seven grandchildren: Emily, Jake, Robyn, Eva, Harry, MJ, and Bobby.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joe, her parents, Patrick and Elizabeth, and several siblings, including brothers Patsy, Dickie, Seanie, Tony, Jimmy, Joey, and Horix, and sisters Anna and Betty.
Family survivors include her brother, Tadghy, sisters-in-law Una and Lily, and her nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral Arrangements for Mary (Maudie) Dooley
Reposing will take place at Doyle’s Funeral Home, Roscrea (E53 RX08) on Saturday, April 25, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The remains will return to her residence at 2 p.m., where she will remain for visitors until the rosary on Monday, April 27, at 7 p.m.
A funeral mass will be held at St Canice’s Church on Tuesday at 11 a.m., followed by burial in Derrinsallagh Graveyard, Borris in Ossary.
