Noel Heffernan of Kilbrin passed away peacefully at Cork University Hospital (CUH) on Monday, February 9th, 2026, surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine (née Guiney), and their children, Darren and Nikki. Noel was a beloved son of Eily and the late Jeremiah, and a dear brother to Dermot, Kathleen Curtin, William, Eileen Connery, Adrian, and Claire Tarrant, as well as the late Mary and Brian.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife and family, future daughter-in-law Sansrutik, mother-in-law Noreen, uncles, aunts, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, neighbours, and a large circle of friends.
Reposing will take place in O’Keeffe’s Funeral Home, Bank Place, Buttevant, County Cork (P51 N2NP) on Wednesday evening from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, followed by Prayers.
A Requiem Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, Kilbrin on Thursday morning at 12 noon, after which Noel will be laid to rest in the local cemetery.
The family has expressed their gratitude to the First Responders, Helicopter Crew, staff at CUH, and the kind friends and neighbours who provided support.
