Sr. Teresa, of the Stella Maria Sisters in Galway and the Convent of Mercy in Tuam and Dunmore, County Galway, died peacefully on January 17th at St. Enda’s Ward, University Hospital Galway, surrounded by her community and family.
Sr. Teresa Passes Away
She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Celia Delaney (Connolly), her sister Mary, and her brothers Padraig and Joe. Sr. Teresa is fondly remembered and deeply mourned by the Sisters of Mercy, Western Branch, particularly the Stella Maria Community, her sisters Frances Hayes and Kathleen Nolan, her nieces and nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Reposing will be held at Stella Maria (H91 XY93) from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on January 22nd (Thursday). Arrival at the Cathedral of the Assumption, Tuam (H54 WP66) will be on January 23rd (Friday) for a Mass of the Resurrection at 11:30 a.m., followed by burial in the Convent Cemetery, Tuam.
