Goodrem Sets the Standard While Others Struggle

The Australian singer continued her strong run on the celebrity dance competition, drawing high praise from the judging panel. Judge Anton Du Beke remarked that the Innocent Eyes singer was setting a very high bar this season, while Craig Revel Horwood labeled her routine amazing.

Down at the other end of the scoreboard, former footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips found himself at the bottom after earning 15 points for his quickstep. Despite the low score, Du Beke offered encouragement, noting that the athlete had all the components to be a super, super dancer.

Gavin and Stacey actress Melanie Walters tackled a Charleston alongside Aljaz Skorjanec after landing at the bottom of the leaderboard last week. Although Revel Horwood professed his affection for the dance style, he told the actress that it wasn’t your thing, leaving them with a total of 17 points.

Paralympian Sarah Storey and Julian Caillon also remained in the lower half of the standings with 20 points for their paso doble. Du Beke praised the routine as dramatic and dynamic, whereas Revel Horwood countered that it was a little bit stiff and lacked power. Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb and Jowita Przystal debuted the first rumba of the season, matching that 20-point score.

Jaime Winstone Bounces Back After Brush with Elimination

Tomb Raider actress Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu reflected on their close brush with elimination, with Winstone holding back tears to admit the experience was terrifying.

The pair bounced back impressively with a Viennese Waltz that earned 28 points. Du Beke called it her best dance yet, and Mabuse declared her one of our strongest dancers of the current run.

I think it’s been such a whirlwind of emotion. I’m 43 and I got good at doing what I did – which is hair. To come and do something like this, I felt so out of my comfort zone and saw myself in a way I never saw myself, and it challenged me in ways I never knew I could be challenged.
I am very grateful for everyone who has been involved. It’s been so amazing to be part of something that I grew up watching and got to be a part of it.
