The average consumer price level for fuel rose by 21% in March compared to February, driven largely by a sharp increase in diesel costs, according to data from the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB).

Diesel prices were the primary driver of the monthly increase, climbing 25.4%. During the same period, gasoline prices rose by 11.3% and autogas prices increased by 7.5%.

Annual Fuel Price Trends

When comparing March 2026 to March 2025, the average consumer price level for fuel rose by 18.5%.

Over the course of the year, diesel prices experienced the most significant growth, increasing by 24.1%. Gasoline and autogas prices rose by 7.5% and 4.3%, respectively.
