Police in Northern Ireland are searching for Jonathan Baker, 54, in connection with the attempted murder of two people on Christmas Eve. The incident occurred at a residential property in Bangor, Co Down, where a man armed with a knife and hammer assaulted a woman in her 50s and a man in his 20s.
Search for Jonathan Baker Following Co. Down Stabbing
On Wednesday, December 24th, a man entered a home in Bangor and attacked the two individuals. Both victims have since been discharged from hospital following treatment for serious injuries.
- Police are actively seeking to locate Mr. Baker and have conducted searches at various properties.
- Mr. Baker is described as being around 5ft 10ins tall, with short, dark hair.
- He was last seen wearing a navy blue Helly Hansen jacket, blue jeans, and dark trainers with white soles.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has released images of Mr. Baker, including a photograph taken in the Coniston Road area around 3:55 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
Superintendent Lindsay Fisher stated, “We are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and today I am appealing directly to Jonathan to make contact with police.”
Authorities advise the public not to approach Mr. Baker if spotted, but to maintain a safe distance and contact police immediately on 101, or 999 in an emergency. Officers remain at the scene of the stabbing on Chippendale Avenue.
