The Calcutta High Court is currently hearing a plea filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) alleging interference by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during raids connected to a 2020 coal scam.

The ED alleges that Banerjee removed important documents while agency officials were conducting raids at the offices of I-PAC, a political consulting firm.

The Trinamool Congress has also submitted a plea to the court, claiming the ED seized election-related documents from I-PAC’s offices. The firm is advising the ruling party on strategy for the upcoming West Bengal assembly elections.
