Newly released documents related to Jeffrey Epstein suggest the involvement of other men in his sexual abuse, raising questions about previous assertions by officials that there is no evidence to investigate potential accomplices. The disclosures include allegations that Epstein provided victims to associates, prompting renewed scrutiny of the financier’s network.
Epstein Files Detail Allegations Against Prominent Figures
Some newly released documents contain allegations that Epstein provided victims to other men. Documents released in prior disclosures, as well as court documents, also point to others’ possible criminal involvement with Epstein and his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell.
One accuser alleged that Maxwell told her Epstein had to leave his house but that a friend was staying who she could massage. During this encounter, the associate allegedly offered her money in exchange for sexual acts, and the woman claimed she complied and was paid.
A “prosecution memorandum” from January 26, 2021, signed by assistant US attorneys from the southern district of New York, described this encounter. When shown a photo of Harvey Weinstein, the woman identified him as the man involved. Weinstein, who is currently in jail after being convicted of sexual assault, rejects the misconduct claims.
“Harvey denies this. The document cited is an internal prosecution memorandum in the Maxwell case that records allegations, not findings,” his representative said. “Mr Weinstein was never charged, investigated, or proceeded against in connection with Epstein or the conduct referenced, and no one has made findings supporting those claims.”
Financier Leon Black is also named in an FBI presentation about Epstein’s case. The presentation, created sometime after late July 2025, alleges that Epstein told an accuser to give Black a massage while Black was naked. Another accuser stated a female gave Black a massage and he made her perform oral sex. Black has adamantly denied wrongdoing.
One document indicates that “The Manhattan District Attorney’s office began looking into allegations against Leon Black.” However, Black has not been criminally charged in relation to Epstein; one civil case against him was dismissed and one was withdrawn. The Manhattan district attorney’s office declined to comment on the existence of an investigation.
Black’s attorney, Susan Estrich, said that an independent investigation by the Dechert law firm reviewed more than 60,000 documents and interviewed more than 20 people. The firm concluded that Black paid Epstein for estate planning and tax advice and was unaware of Epstein’s criminal activities. Estrich also noted that one of three civil lawsuits against Black has been dismissed, another withdrawn, and the third is facing a case terminating motion for sanctions.
Prior Disclosures Point to Wider Network
Maria Farmer, an artist who worked for Epstein around 1996, reported that Epstein “stole” nude images of her siblings. “Epstein Stole the photos and Negatives and is believed to have sold the pictures to potential buyers,” Farmer alleged in a 1996 FBI report.
A document released in a prior disclosure also suggests Epstein and others may have shared child sexual abuse images. A lawyer representing a co-executor of Epstein’s estate wrote to the FBI in April 2023 about encountering potential child sexual abuse images during a document review.
An email released by the House oversight committee shows Epstein and an associate discussing “girls” and travel, with the associate appearing to refer to deceased French modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel. Brunel was arrested in December 2020 on suspicion of crimes including rape and sexual assault of minors and human trafficking. He died in prison four years ago by apparent suicide.
Virginia Giuffre, a prominent accuser of Epstein and Maxwell, alleged in civil court papers that she was “sexually exploited by Epstein’s adult male peers including royalty.” She claimed Epstein and Maxwell introduced her to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in 2001, alleging Maxwell forced her to have sex with the then-prince, who has vehemently denied any wrongdoing.
A lawyer representing two Epstein victims told investigators in a 2021 email that she had two clients who were trafficked to other men.
The document disclosures have shown that authorities had at various points downplayed the participation of other men. One FBI presentation included a page titled “MISCONCEPTIONS,” stating, “Epstein did not regularly prostitute the victims in exchange for money.”
A case initiation summary stated that the FBI and Manhattan federal prosecutors said one victim in a 2019 meeting claimed “being lent out to other men.” However, the summary noted that her statements were inconsistent with other victims and witnesses, and no other victim described being directed to engage in sexual activity with other men. The closest anecdote to being “lent out” involved Weinstein.
Attorneys for Epstein’s victims believe Epstein provided teen girls and young women to others. “It is without question that a significant piece of Epstein and Maxwell’s vast sex-trafficking operation was to provide young women and girls to other wealthy and powerful individuals,” said Sigrid McCawley, of Boies Schiller Flexner. “This practice gave Epstein and Maxwell control and power over individuals who were implicated in the sex trafficking.”
Jennifer Freeman of Marsh Law, representing Maria Farmer, said, “at this point, we have more questions than answers.” She questioned the whereabouts of Maria Farmer’s complete FBI file and the records of complaints made to the FBI, as well as why the Department of Justice is concealing the names of perpetrators while exposing survivors.
Spencer Kuvin of GOLDLAW, who has represented numerous Epstein victims, stated, “We know for certain from direct testimony of victims that Epstein provided girls to other famous and notable people. Usually these were favors with the hope that he would get something in return from these people.” He added, “The recent documents only confirm what the victims have been saying all along. The absence of a formal ‘client list’ is not the same thing as proof that no third parties participated.”
