Authorities in Arizona have seized a vehicle and closed off a road near the home of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of television host Savannah Guthrie, as the investigation into her disappearance continues. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI executed a search warrant at Guthrie’s residence Friday and have been actively following leads in the case.
Search for Missing Nancy Guthrie Intensifies
A parade of sheriff’s and FBI vehicles, including forensics units, were observed passing through a roadblock established about two miles from Guthrie’s home. A Range Rover SUV was tagged and towed from the parking lot of a Culver’s restaurant.
The sheriff’s department confirmed the execution of the federal court-ordered search warrant, stating it was based on a recent lead. A traffic stop was also conducted, and an individual was questioned, but no arrests have been made in connection with the case.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing on February 1. Authorities discovered her blood on the front porch of her Tucson home. Ransom notes were reportedly sent to news organizations, but two payment deadlines have passed without incident.
Investigators have reviewed surveillance footage, processed thousands of tips, and submitted evidence for laboratory analysis. Authorities have expressed concern for Ms. Guthrie’s health, noting she requires daily medication and has a pacemaker, as well as high blood pressure and heart issues.

The FBI has received over 13,000 tips since February 1, while the sheriff’s department has taken at least 18,000 calls. Authorities released footage Tuesday showing an armed, masked individual at Guthrie’s doorstep on the night she disappeared.
No further information was released Saturday.
