Frances Burke of Cornaroya, Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, while in the care of staff at Mayo University Hospital.
A retired teacher from The Neale National School, Mrs. Burke previously resided in Ballyrourke, The Neale.
Family and Legacy
Mrs. Burke was predeceased by her husband, Paddy, as well as her brothers Brian and Johnny, and her sisters Peg and Eileen.
She is survived by her daughter, Maria, and sons, Declan and Adrian. She is also survived by daughters-in-law Siobhán and Karen, son-in-law Niall, and six grandchildren: Holly, Katie, Rossa, Kyle, Ry-Lee, and Naoise.
She is fondly remembered by her extended family, neighbors, former colleagues, and a wide circle of friends.
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing will take place at St. Joseph’s Funeral Home, Ballinrobe (F31XV63), on Monday evening, April 20, starting at 6 p.m. Removal to St. Mary’s Church, Ballinrobe, will follow at 7:30 p.m.
Requiem Mass is scheduled for Tuesday morning, April 21, at 11:30 a.m., with the funeral proceeding to the New Cemetery, Ballinrobe.
