The shortages have forced most services at Al-Awda Hospital to shut down, with only emergency care, maternity, and pediatrics remaining operational. These critical services are currently powered by a rented generator, but its capacity is uncertain.
The hospital typically treats up to 1,000 patients daily and handles approximately 40 births per day. Hundreds of procedures have been postponed due to the lack of power.
Hospital officials warn that urgent fuel deliveries are essential to maintain even the limited essential care currently available.
