/ The German opposition announced on Sunday that it was suffering from a severe shortage of ammunition due to military assistance to Ukraine. It also warned that the German army would not be able to withstand the battle for more than two days in the event of a war breaking out.

The deputy head of the German opposition bloc, Johan Wadevoll, said in a statement to the German news agency DPA, “The main units (of the German army) can withstand the battle for a maximum of two days. This, to my mind, is a disastrous result.”

“The reason for the acute shortage lies in the supply of weapons to Ukraine, and in such circumstances it is impossible to talk about increasing the combat capability of the German army,” Vadiful added, holding Defense Minister Boris Pistorius “responsible for the current situation the army has reached.”

He considered it unacceptable that the German army was unable to replace the equipment and ammunition being sent to Ukraine, at a time when Germany needed many times more than it had.

Earlier, the German Defense Minister reported that his country would send Kiev another package of military aid worth 1.3 billion euros. At the same time, the German Ministry of Finance was forced to freeze the government’s budget expenditures due to financial difficulties.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky also stated that his forces began to suffer from a shortage of 155 mm shells due to the war waged by the Israeli army in Palestine.

He also stated that the arsenals of Kiev’s Western allies are almost exhausted today, and that the current quantities of weapons and ammunition supplies to Ukrainian forces are not sufficient to conduct intensive combat operations.
