Ghanaian Tomato Traders Caught in Burkina Faso Terror Attack
The government of Ghana has received reports describing the attack as “disturbing.” The incident targeted a military camp in Titao, resulting in damage to installations, according to local sources.
The Ministry of the Interior stated that the truck was carrying tomato traders from Ghana when it became caught in the attack on February 14, 2026.
The Ghana Embassy in Burkina Faso is currently coordinating with local authorities to visit the attack site, gather details, and work to identify any Ghanaians affected by the incident.
Titao, located in northern Burkina Faso, has been repeatedly targeted by armed assaults and has faced threats from Islamist militants since 2019.
