Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition launches its new content on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 9:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET, bringing the Echoes of Sekigahara story expansion and Most Wanted combat survival mode to PS5 via patch v2.0.
Global Release Schedule And Pricing Options For PlayStation 5
Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition costs $69.99 in the United States, while existing owners can purchase the Complete Edition Upgrade for $14.99 instead. Both choices grant access to the Echoes of Sekigahara story expansion and the Most Wanted combat survival mode.
The update arrives through patch v2.0 on October 1, 2026, at 9:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET. Because the content unlocks at the exact same moment worldwide, players in regions like Japan, Australia, and New Zealand will see a local release date of October 2 due to time zone differences, as reported by vice.com. The upgrade package also bundles previous Digital Deluxe items, the Charm of Hokkyokusei, and the Snake Armor.

PlayStation Crossover Armor Unlocks Through Most Wanted
Sucker Punch revealed that unlocking these crossover fits requires progressing through Most Wanted, though once earned, they can be worn across any of the game’s modes.
The crossover gear features designs pulled directly from prominent PlayStation-published titles. Sucker Punch initially unveiled an armor set inspired by Clickers from The Last of Us to celebrate The Last of Us Day, featuring a mask that gives Atsu the appearance of an undead monster. In a follow-up post covered by thegamer.com, the studio showcased three additional fits inspired by Helldivers 2, Astro Bot, and Journey. The Helldivers gear trades Atsu’s standard hat and mask for a yellow-and-black helmet, while the Astro Bot set utilizes a bright blue and white color scheme. The Journey outfit presents a hood, mask, and long red robes resembling The Traveler.

Most Wanted Follows PlayStation Roguelike Expansion Trends
Post-launch roguelike additions have become a reliable strategy for major PlayStation first-party releases. The Last of Us received a similar mode via No Return, and Valhalla served as a popular add-on for God of War Ragnarok. Most Wanted follows this established trend.
Players hoping for early access will find none included. As detailed by vice.com, the expansion requires waiting for the global launch time, though digital pre-orders and purchases grant immediate access to existing digital deluxe bonuses. The Sakai Armor bonus is listed as an early unlock, which simply grants access to the gear sooner within the campaign rather than bypassing the release window.
