Indonesia is promoting its publishing industry on the global stage, with a focus on showcasing high-quality books and strengthening the sector’s competitiveness. The Creative Economy Ministry is supporting Indonesian publishers, including Kreatifafa, in participating in international forums to market copyrights and build networks.
Indonesian Publisher Selected for Istanbul Publishing Fellowship
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, stated that Kreatifafa’s participation in global forums is a strategic opportunity to market books by Indonesian creators and establish connections with international publishers and distributors.
“The ministry is committed to strengthening support for Kreatifafa, expanding its reach beyond the domestic market to the global stage, while blending educational material with interactive visuals through engaging pop-up book formats,” Umar stated.
Kreatifafa has been officially selected as a participant in the 2026 Istanbul Publishing Fellowship Program in Turkiye. The ministry anticipates the program will expose Indonesian delegates to new technologies and trends in the publishing industry.
The Istanbul Publishing Fellowship, held from February 10-12 in Istanbul, Turkiye, is a forum for leaders and innovators to foster cross-cultural collaborations and shape the future of education.
Organized by the Turkish Press and Publishers Copyright & Licensing Society (TBYM) with support from the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the fellowship is a prestigious copyright market.
Kreatifafa CEO Fatchul Hidayah Clairine Yuzlar emphasized the company’s goal to explore global collaboration opportunities in literacy and children’s education through visually engaging pop-up books.
“The Istanbul Fellowship is a strategic step to prove that the work of Indonesian children has equal quality standards and is even capable of competing in the global market,” Fatchul Hidayah said.
