Helen Gaughan, formerly of Knockatallon, Co. Monaghan and Tottenham, London, has passed away peacefully in her 86th year while surrounded by family.
Obituary of Helen Gaughan
Helen passed away in the care of Central Park Nursing Home in Clonberne, Co. Galway. She was the beloved wife of the late Martin Gaughan and is survived by her children: Cathy Rabbitte (Clonberne), Caroline Murray (Roy, Dunmore), Fiona Gaughan (London), Martin Gaughan (London), and Peter Gaughan (Los Angeles).
She is also remembered by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Helen will repose at Clonberne Community Centre on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Following this, her remains will be removed to her residence in Clonberne, with attendance limited to family only.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Sunday at 1:00pm, with burial to follow in Clonberne cemetery.
The family requests that flowers be omitted. Donations, if desired, may be made in Helen’s memory to a charity of one’s choosing.
