A section of Highway 404 in Markham has reopened after it was closed Friday afternoon due to debris spilled by a truck.
Highway 404 Closure Details
The Ontario Provincial Police reported that a dump truck left a trail of large and small stones across the northbound lanes of the highway between 16th Avenue and Major Mackenzie Drive.
The roadway remained closed for several hours while clean-up crews worked to clear the debris from the scene.
Police did not specify what the truck was hauling or if the driver was stopped following the spill.
