/ In a statement tinged with ambiguity; The Turkish presidency announced the postponement of the visit of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to Ankara, which was scheduled for Tuesday, without mentioning the reasons for the postponement.

Agence France-Presse quoted the Turkish presidency as saying: Iranian President Ibrahim will not make this visit, and it is not clear whether the visit has been canceled or postponed.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced this visit earlier this month, indicating that he and his Iranian counterpart would focus on formulating a joint response to the war between Israel and Hamas.

He said: “Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will visit us on the 28th of this month.”

During a phone call with his Turkish counterpart yesterday, Monday, Raisi discussed developments in the situation in Gaza and stressed that the people of Gaza are the ones who decide the fate and future of Gaza, relying on the Hamas movement, a legitimate and legal government based on public voting in this sector, and not the United States.
