/ The prices of “foreign and Iraqi” gold decreased in the local markets in the capital, Baghdad, and in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, today, Sunday, (November 19, 2023).

Dollar prices fell today, Sunday, in the markets of Baghdad and Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, when the two main stock exchanges opened.

Agency correspondent said that gold prices in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street in the capital, Baghdad, recorded this morning, the selling price of one weight of 21 carat of Gulf, Turkish and European gold at 436 thousand dinars, and the purchase price at 432 thousand dinars.

Our correspondent indicated that the selling price of one mithqal of 21 carat Iraqi gold was recorded at 406 thousand dinars, and the purchase price reached 402 thousand dinars.

Regarding gold prices in goldsmiths’ shops, the selling price of a 21-carat Gulf gold mithqal ranges between 440,000 and 450,000 dinars, while the selling price of an Iraqi gold mithqal ranged between 410,000 and 420,000 dinars.

As for gold prices in Erbil, the selling price of 24 karat gold was 508 thousand dinars, 22 karat gold was 465 thousand dinars, 21 karat gold was 445 thousand dinars, and 18 karat gold was 385 thousand dinars.

One mithqal of gold is equal to five grams.
