  • UAE residents have visa-free access to destinations including Sri Lanka, Singapore, and Uzbekistan.
  • Turkey is set to join other destinations offering visa-on-arrival access for UAE residents by 2026.

Expansion of Visa-Free Travel

India now joins the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Thailand, Malaysia, and China among the 93 countries offering visa-free travel to enhance the UAE’s tourism industry.

Additionally, UAE residents have access to several “dream destinations” with visa-free travel opportunities. These include Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Thailand, Singapore, and Kyrgyzstan.

Visa-on-Arrival Opportunities

There are currently 17 countries that offer visa-on-arrival access for UAE residents to facilitate easier international travel.

Looking toward 2026, Turkey is expected to join Oman, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Nepal, and Armenia in offering exclusive visa-on-arrival access to UAE residents.

Tourism Demand and Resident Returns

The UAE is also reopening its doors to returning residents, aligning with policies seen in Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, India, the UK, and France.

These combined initiatives are projected to drive increased travel demand for Dubai and Abu Dhabi tourism heading into 2026.
