Indonesian police have arrested 13 people following allegations of child abuse at the Little Aresha daycare centre in Yogyakarta.
The arrests come after images of the alleged abuse of small children went viral, sparking widespread national outrage, officials announced Monday, April 27, 2026.
Investigation into Little Aresha Daycare Abuse
Police raided the facility on Java island on Friday, April 24, 2026. The operation was initiated following a report from a former employee.
The daycare center, located in Umbulharjo, Yogyakarta, has since been sealed with police yellow tape.
